Turning hand drawn sketches into graphics?

Hey guys,

I have a quick question. I have a hand drawn sketch here that I need to graphictise (not sure even if that is a word??) I need it to put the graphic as a logo into the beginning of a video so it will just appear for 3/4 seconds before actually video begins. Anyone knows how I can do this or even if there is any free software out there that enables me to do so?? Thanks all very much

It may not be exactly what you are looking for but perhaps drawing tablets might be of use. You will also need a graphics program to go along with it.

Scan and save it as a TIFF GIF or whatever suits your video editing software

or video it and splice it to your film.

you could download inkscape which is free. Then use the trace bitmap function within the program to get the results you want, by tracing the bitmap you will create a vector version of you image which basically means it can be scaled to large or small sizes while retaining the same quality. then like mathepac said, save it as a TIFF or GIF as these store transparency. Then once you have your new logo saved there is usually an option in your video editor to add a watermark or a logo, simply use the logo you made
