    hello,

I have recently got the upc meda tv box( thr black coloured one ). i notice there is only 1 scart lead connection

on my old upc box ( the silver one ) There was 2 scart connections so i could put one scart from this upc box to the tv and the other to the dvd player

so looks like upc with their newer media boxes have decided not to bother with 2 scart lead connectirs

any work aroubd for this with tdhe black box ??

what i have to do now is manually change the cable rverytime i want to use my dvd ( my tv only has one scart connecter at back )

You can get whats called a scart switiching box that will allow you to connect more than one device to a tv that only has one scart device.

The best ones to get are one with a switch that you click to select the device you want as the cheaper ones without buttons will more than likely give you some cross interferance if both devices are on...

I enclose a link for one that is for sale in Maplins... hope that helps

Could you use a HDMI lead to go into the tv or the dvd player?

Cost them money to put a second socket on the box and to be fair they are trying to make money so there not going to use them, also as the boxes are made in Europe where scart connections are not used as much especially not with Hdmi taking over..

As I said earlier a scart switching box will sort your problem.

Would it be possible to use one of these switching boxes to supply two tvs from one upc box?
