Intel PCIC compatible PCMCIA controller - cannot find!

    I have an old machine running XP.
    Works fine but is missing a "Intel PCIC compatible PCMCIA controller".

    For the life of me I cannot find one on the internet.
    EVERY link that says is a "Intel PCIC compatible PCMCIA controller" driver is either a link to microsoft update or the vast majority of the time, a link to a profit making driver application that you must install and pay for first - with no eventual guarantee that it WILL give you the actual driver!

    I have looked at over 500+ links now and have had no joy.

    Does anyone know where (or have) a "Intel PCIC compatible PCMCIA controller" can be got?

    Help?

    Download the chipset drivers for the laptop from the manufacturers website, also look for expansion slot/pcmcia drivers

    That was the first thing I tried. Sadly no longer available. Bummer!

    go to device manager and let us know device ID.
    double click the device > details > device id
