The sound won't work.

    every time i try to change it, it shows a little circle under the volume with line through it. what's wrong with it and what do i do?

    What Mac is it?

    It might be a problem with the headphone jack. Try plugging a pair of headphones in and out.

    Also have a look in System Prefs > Output and make sure internal speakers is selected.
