Did a certain poster ever break the big "ITK" story about Henderson?

Terrible is pushing it. He's a decent player. Took a look at Wiki to see what his stats are. In 5 and a bit seasons for Chelsea, he has 56 goals and 39 assists in 228 appearances. They're hardly world-class stats but considering he is a squad player for Chelsea, they're decent. Stats aren't everything obviously but he's not a terrible player, by any stretch.

I'd kind of take it as the less new the better, we'd have heard if it was bad.

Well, that's supposed to be a joke. I doubt someone took the time to edit Kalou's Wiki page to give him somewhat reasonable stats.

Just an example (albeit an extreme one) of how I wouldn't really trust stats from wiki, in that rather then someone editing them, they could well be bull to start with it

Regarding Kalou, I just think he's average

Have you ever been worried about Kalou when playing Chelsea? - I know for one I haven't, he doesn't offer anything new threat-wise to our squad

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,627 ✭✭✭Sgt Pepper 64

the problem with kalou is how many chances he needs to score, hes even said it himself that for him to be better, he needs to be more clinical. he can make an impact off the bench, but there are better subs out there. too many misses from six yards as well, fa cup final was an obvious one. he's young, quite fast but in an attacking team, he just can't be relied upon to put a high enough ratio of chances to goals away

I think Liverpool don't have the players to play the formation to get the most it of them.

A 4-4-2 is a bit outdated, a 4-3-3 would be most preferable but would need everyone fit

    Reina
    Johnson Agger Skrtel Enrique
    Gerrard Adam Lucas
    Kuyt Carroll Suarez

Probably no room for Adam in a 4-3-3.

Probably more room for him in a 4-3-3 than in a 4-4-2

I really don't know what to make of this tbh it just read's like the ramblings of an aul fella on the sidelines of a GAA junior b match
What's wrong with aul fellas on the sidelines of gaa junior b matches? Martin Kelly is a good example of a young player unfazed by the so-called pressure of being paid to play football and having bags of money thrown at you. Be a professional and just get on with it.

Kelly just continues to impress... Keep him injury free and we have a monster defender in him.
That's the problem unfortunately. There's a bang of Darren Anderton off him so far. Sicknote.

I don't believe that a shared culture always breeds a good team spirit.

The importance of trying to create and maintain a good team spirit is a no brainer though.
Kenny probably overdid the whole buy-british project. Carroll-Henderson-Adam...the prosecution rests.

Get on the phone to AC Milan. Alberto you're needed on Merseyside!
Probably no room for Adam in a 4-3-3.
    He's probably too slow.

He's too unfit though (probably for either). By unfit i don't mean fat, i just mean he's gone after 70 mins, which he is in pretty much every game this season far as i can tell. Thought he was gonna have a heart attack v Swansea. I suppose it depends who the three up top are. Kuyt for example is still gonna come back no matter what, hence less running for Adam. Not sure i'd want Kuyt myself in a 4-3-3.

Roll on tomorrow anyway, feels like about 6 months since we last played a game.

There's nothing at all wrong with 442, you just need the right players to play it.

At the moment IMo Liverpool are n't anywhere near string enough in the middle of the field or on the right wing to be using it.

They should also go for pace and mobility upfront tomorrow, Bellamy, Suarez and Kuyt maybe - Chelse play a ridiculously high line these days thats there for the taking with a bit of speed.

Terrible news. He was only on LFCTV a few weeks ago talking to Claire Rourke about his son's illness and the charity they set up.

Won't be long before he gets injured or goes through a bad spell though - as is his norm.

There was some major news( last Monday/Tuesday) about him that would be revealed shortly ( later in the week apparently) I think, that would have us talking about him..... unless I missed something, we are still waiting.
