I don't contribute any blame to Thierry Henry to what happened in Paris. He played the whistle and won, in the same situation I would have done the exact same.

    I hate The Simpsons.

People say if you don't find it funny, you just aren't someone who is able to "get it". Maybe you can "get it" and just think the jokes are crap.

The human race will not live forever. We are eventually gonna up like the 95% of things that lived on this planet, extinct. Whether it be by our own doing or a massive natural disaster, we are eventually going to be another evolutionary cul-de-sac (George Carlin, thank you very much) :)

    I don't like tea.

The Royle Family and Mrs Brown are not that funny.

It is just as hard to get a I (first class honours) degree in arts as in science.

Humans have been to space, split the atom, harnessed electricity, cloned animals, built computers, discovered cures for some forms of cancer, decoded the human genome, the technology is there to control gene expression, etc. Loads of stuff that can wipe us out but if we're still around in another hundred years the number of things that can wipe us out starts to decline big time. Maybe thats an even scarier thought.

How do you figure? Bacteria are more crafty than we'll ever be, and we need them to live. What will happen in the next hundred years that will change this?

She is plain looking. as is Katy Perry and Angelina Jolie (except for her artificially enhanced lips).

I have many unpopular opinions, most of which I wouldn't share here.

I find it hard to understand how people can not believe there is some god.

Who said anything about bacteria? Yep hardy little organisms that would have killed me a few times had I lived a hundred years ago.

You said the things that can wipe us out will decline big time in 100 or so years. I don't know how you can extrapolate like that, considering bacteria evolve much quicker than us and ways we can't yet imagine, maybe harmful ways.

My opinion is that the moderation in the spirituality forum is too strict

Also, it's my opinion that badgers should be given NAMA houses if they can prove a willingness to adopt ponies.

Well I'm not just focusing on bacteria. But some species of bacteria that were death sentence a few decades ago, arent anymore. Same goes for certain forms of cancer. We dont have as many women dying during childbirth as they did in the past. Human life life expectancy continues to rise.

And some types of cancer are happening with increasing frequency, and happen much more than they did in the past.

Plus, those diseases that used to be death sentences? New, more virulent strains could emerge.

I think there is too much importance placed in the conservation of species. Extinction is a fact of life on this planet, and it's no big deal if some species succumb to the pressures of survival.

By extension of the above; I also think that humans are playing a big part in making sure that evolution is stunted, or at least somewhat hindered, be it through makey-upy social systems or scientific systems designed to harbor that.
