Is there any adult in Ireland who believes that addiction is a good thing?

No, but if I can blame a tv programme/video game/society for my problems rather than taking personal responsibility than all the better for me!

Personally I think the most worrying thing about Love/Hate is Aidan Gillen's acting... He's completely miscast as a "hard man"..

They all are apart from the shaved head bloke

Clontarf? the drug capital of Ireland? I remember Dun Laoghaire was bad back in the day an around Oliver Bond flats, don't remember Clontarf mentioned and Joe certainly wouldn't drag himself out of the slums of ballyer to move to another drug infested den.

A touch of exaggeration there alright.

What would Williams do without all this glorified drug dealing and gangland crime to harp on about? He's made a living on sensationalising it since Guerin was killed.

Unless Joe Duffy is prepared to condemn Gerry Ryan in the same way he attacks other Drug Addicts, he should come down from his high horse.

How could a small business pay someone for a month when they are sick?

Why do employees pay PRSI ?

We just qualified for our first Euros since 88

    why is this being discussed?

By the same token, having to listen to Ryan Tubridy and Pat Kenny talk about football makes me puke. They havent a clue

This will cost jobs in very small companies...I know if I was employing a few staff (of which there is little chance these days) I'd have to seriously look at either a pyacut or laying one of them off to hedge against the others getting ill. That's not on.

But redundancies cannot eliminate sick days

If small business must pay the sick leave in the private sector then The Unions should have to cover the cost in the public sector, that would be fair .
