stupidusername: have you reported any of this to their co-mod(s) and if there aren't any how about their Cat Mods?

I definitely wouldn't have thought to report it to a co mod, didn't think that'd have been the way to go at all. but no, as I said, I didn't because most of it is subtle and likely to be seen as me being paranoid.
In my experience, there is no favouritism. In forums where there are a lot of mods, a person won't know them all. Worst case is a mod may decide not to mod a friend, but you can be sure if it's worthy of action another mod would pick it up.

If you think a particular mod has it in for you, a quiet PM to a Cmod linking to proof would be the best solution. If a mod is abusing their power it will be dealt with.

The problem again is the proof. of course I believe it would be dealt with if the evidence was irrefutable but as I'm sure many of you know there are lots of ways people can be dicks without being obvious about it.

The only way it can happen is through a mod either posting in public or by pm. Both can be reported and / or pm'd to a cmod or admin and dealt with - the mechanisms are there to deal with this if people want to avail of them :).

I should have reported the post (which is the only thing that was obvious) but I didn't. I would now, only I wouldn't think that'd be acceptable, as it was a few months ago.

I have no doubt the procedure is there for bullying / harassment, when it's plain to see, without a critical mind, but again, what I pointed out was that it isn't that simple. of course it's not that simple. you don't ever see a mod blatantly picking on someone now do you?

I don't know that there's any statute of limitations on reporting posts and in the case of a genuine complaint of harassment I think you should either report it or, perhaps preferably, PM a CMod with a link to the post(s) as boards takes this kind of thing seriously.

Is that in response to my posts,or just a general addition to the thread?

I might do that so.just to have it reported, even though by itself it will look like nothing.

Good, glad to hear that you're prepared to do that now - and if it ever comes to it, please feel free to pm me for any advice on how to hassle the authorities if you feel nothing is being done. :)

It either happened or it didn't. If it happened on this site then there's a papertrail that mods cannot delete or hide so if you can point to anything that can give weight to your claims than please do. Even if it's a thread where posts were removed, cmods / admins can still see the original content.
