Lads, Do you drill the piston to downgrade or change the spring on the AEG? Just curious.

    Hi
    to be honest , both.
depend of the make and price of AEG. usually china made cheap guns we drilling cylinder. rest of it we changing the spring.
BTW in my opinion professional drilled hole in cylinder make no damage to other parts of gearbox.
    What about these :

Drilling a cylinder, even "professionally", has the potential to leave swarf inside the cylinder, which will damage parts such as the o-ring on the piston head. Theres also the risk of the hole being covered/filled at a later time, making the AEG hot again. The cylinders you have linked to are ported, which ensures the correct volume of air is used to fire a BB.

I apologize If you don't agree with the above, but I've downgraded several rifles that have been bought from airsoftguns.ie and have personally seen rifles returned as over the limit.
As much as I like having a local walk in store in Limerick, if you're not careful lads you could do immeasurable damage to the sport we all love.

    Hi
we love airsoft as much like you guys. that's why all the time try to make the shop and service much better and more professional. and we really appreciate any comments and advice like this one about drilling. I see there is a reason to change the spring for all the guns.
what about the power of the guns - there is some issue we had last time- as you said "rifles that have been bought from airsoftguns.ie and have personally seen rifles returned as over the limit."
at the moment we have to different Chronographs in use and all guns are checked on both. We are really care about that, but still last week have return as a to powerful.
(after check in our place was showing all right so I doubt both are showing wrong) we have almost arrange with customs depot in Dublin to send out our chrono to certificate it. after that we invite everyone who wants to check his gun in to the shop.

Ok.how long after x-mas would you be able to get it? And do you know if I was to order directly off the web sight would it come before Christmas or after? As a lot of people were saying it's hard to get stuff in from hong kong this time of year.

Hard to say now when exactly we'll get it (we can take it with our next batch 4-5 weeks- there will be delays due to busy time and x-mas holidays -for sure)
ebairsoft.com is not our supplier so have no idea how long will take if you order it yourself (we'll take it from different supplier)
    Thanks
