Laptop- User Accounts

Hi, I was wondering could anyone help me out. On my laptop i have two user accounts; My own name and a guest. For some reason for the past year or so when i turn on my laptop both account thumbnails appear twice( so i have four account thumbnails on my login page) Can anyone shed some light on the reason why?? Thanks!

Never seen that happen before.
I would try,
deactivate the guest account.
restart
If you only get your own account on the login screen, then reactivate the guest account.

Don't know will that work but it's somewhere to start
