Leenane 5 Mile Run, Jog, Walk - 20th November

Just putting this up here as a friend of mine has been involved in organising this great event for the last three years. Leenane 5 Mile, Sunday November the 20th. The event is open to all, from elite runners to joggers and walkers. Its great value as the entry fee is 15 euro for an individual and 20 euro for a family.
Did this last year and would highly recommend it. Fab scenery, accurately measured course and delicious food afterwards. I prefer to enter the local events as most of them are for local causes and this one is no exception as all monies raised go towards the upkeep of the Leenane/Maam Red Cross Ambulance.

Myself and the missus will be there again this year. Great event, worth the fee for the cake alone.

Going to miss it this year due to injury, real shame as its brilliant. As for the cake!

I would call it an opener of another sort!

That hill in the middle is great crack. Its a well hilly route so no PB's there!
