I am thinking of changing cars. my old one needs to have the exhaust fixed but i am wondering should i bother paying for this before i trade it in?

Is the garage likely to give me less for the trade in if there is something wrong?

The trade in value of a car is always way below the market price anyway to account for possible work required.

A broken exhaust wouldn't effect trade in price IMO.
