Just a quick notice for any actors in and around Sligo, or those willing to travel. The second of the Haymaker workshops is running Friday the 10th of August.

The workshop will be facilitated by Declan Droghan, who has a long history in theatre around Ireland and is currently a lecturer in the IT Sligo acting course.
Establishing Presence in a Liminal Space

This workshop explores the contradictions inherent in prevalent actor training systems around being truly present for an audience yet within the the frame of the material being performed. It also examines the notion of the performance space as a zone outside of the normal constraints of time, chronology and consequence.
The workshop will be held in the YT space (By The Factory Theatre) on the 10th of Aug, from 6pm untill 9pm and will cost €8.

All skill levels are welcome and don't be put off by the description above, it isn't as pretencios as it reads ;)

Places are limited, so anybody interested should call 086 8710222 as soon as possible.

The Haymaker Series is run by Playspace with the kind support of the Sligo Arts Department and County Sligo Youth Theatre.

These workshops are run for the benefit of local actors and not for profit.

If you have any questions PM me or post it here.
