    Hi all,
    i have a problem with a ps3 controller.
it is completely dead, its not the battery i tried one out of another controller, reset it, used different usb cables, made sure there were no loose wires on the inside. Its a dualshock 3.

    anyone have any ideas?

Does it still flash the four red lights at the top? Could have become unpaired from your console. Plug in a USB cable and attach that to the PS3, then switch on the controller.

Did you try a different USB port to make sure it's not a problem at the PS3 end of things?

take it apart and have a close look over the circuit board for any cracks. was the controller dropped on the ground anytime ? seeing that there is no power even after changing the battery it looks like a circuit could have cracked, have a look anyway just incase and if there is a crack on a part of the circuit board then just solder it. also look closely for any cracks around the area where the small screws are on the circuit board.

ok i have looked , cheers for the reply, can't see anything, i also cleaned the ribbon with alcohol,no luck. yeah the controller probably got a few bangs alright.
the controller isn't a year old, gonna bring it back to argos because there is supposed to be a 1 yr warranty
