Upgrade for BF3

    I'm looking for my computer to play Battlefield 3 on medium or high settings here's what I have..

    Quad core Q6600 processor
    4gb DDR2 ram
    Asus striker extreme 680i motherboard
    500gb samsung hard drive
    Nvidia gefeforce 8800 GTS x 2 in SLI (1gb each)
    750 watt PSU
    Windows 7 Ultimate installed


    What would I need to upgrade for it to work?

    What's your budget, and what sort of monitor do you have?

    Its a samsung 26'' monitor. Haven't really a budget in mind really, depends how much I need to upgrade, but say €200 - €300.

    Have you tried it out on that system yet?

    You could get a GTX 570 that would definitely run it well and fits around that price range.
    Is the Q6600 overclocked? If not, you could push it to get some extra power there.

    I've tried it with everything on low and its unplayable, it lags.
    I wouldn't know how to overclock. Read some guides and don't really want to do it anyway.

    So is it just the graphics card I need to change?

    Yeah, the graphics card would be the primary thing to replace.

    Maybe a new CPU/board/RAM by this time next year if you find that the CPU is holding you back.
