When I first moved here. (Anglesey) I could get , with a bit of twiddling on the knob, a pretty good reception of RTE. But not anymore as things have gone all digital here.

Is RTE all digital too now?

Do you think it would be possible to get the transmission here again? I do sort of miss it.

Try having to pay for it. You won't miss it.

Do you mean radio or television? Reception of RTÉ radio should be possible on FM in parts of Anglesea and also on LW252. With regard to TV both Digital and Analogue will continue side by side until analogue switch off in October next year. Saorsat should be receivable in Anglesea next year allowing reception of the terrestrial television channels by satellite.

Thanks for all the info. It is of great help.

The RTE radio I get is some kind of classical music with speaking in Gaelic, which I have not yet learned. Unfortunately it comes over right across the sport channel from England that I used to listen to.

I was of course referring to the television. It made (believe it or not) a very pleasant change from BBC.

Rubecula, ask about this in the terrestrial TV forum.

Folks there should be able to provide info on what you should be receiving and where you'd get it from, along with possible changes post digital switchover across both jurisdictions.
