    But people respect you if you're tall and they think you are more capable. I can't blame them, if you are short they can't see into your face. People don't like having to bend down to look you in the eye any more than I like looking up. From the moment you meet it's a battle of the wills... and you can't reach higher than the first shelf in the kitchen overheads and sometimes not to the back of it. If you have to get something off the top shelf at the grocery and need help. people almost always help. but they also almost always smile condescendingly... and sometimes laugh.
