    @leeg thats the heanet network all colleges etc are on that sadly they have their infrastructure tighter than a cavan womans flange.

    A few mates years ago were in a gamiong society and the admins wouldnt allow outside access so that people could log into gaming lans they were hosting

    We're getting UPC installed in the college house on Friday morning, so I'll report back with what the speeds/ping are like. Hopefully they're decent cos it's where I'll be mostly playing the PS until the college year is over.

    3mb atm, although the landlady bluffed us saying 'it's the same speed you'd get in an office with several computers' :confused: Opted for the 25mb package, with 4 months free as a student.

    Eircom - 2.6 download, .79 upload, ping 65

    Vodafone - 6.7 download, 1.2 upload, ping 35.
