Hardwareversand delivery to Germany.

I am heading over to germany in a few weeks so I'm gonna take up the opportunity to get some kit delivered locally while I'm over there. Some Questions:

Does anybody know how much HWVS charge for delivery within Germany?

Does anybody have experience of the delivery time? (I assume it's lest than delivery to here)

What would the situation be with RMA/returns once I get back?

Are there any good bricks and mortar shops worth visiting over there?

Would you recommend somewhere other than HWVS?

Am I wasting my time?

I'm looking to get a SSD (probably 128GB Crucial m4) for sure, maybe some RAM (depending on how it compares with MemoryC) and a HDD. Maybe some other bits and bobs.

I have heard good things about atelco computer. They are apparently related to HWVS in some way, shape or form.

Price-wise, they're more expensive than HWVS. Only €5 cheaper than Komplett.

I spent a few weeks in Frankfurt earlier this year and was looking into something similar. I think its less than 5euro delivery from HWVS within Germany. Also did a bit of research into B&M stores but no could not find anything. I was a bit surprised. I didnt end up getting anything in the end.

I don't think the prices are much better in Germany but what you do have is a great selection. I know Caseking are in Berlin and you can collect from their warehouse (something like Komplett) and they are great for cases parts.

For an ssd, it works out about 30 quid cheaper.

My understanding is that Atelco is the parent company of HWS. Atleco is the main retail outlet of the group whereas HWS was setup as a barebones operation (as a commercial supplier initially maybe? not sure exactly why). I believe they both operate out of the same warehouse but Atelco employ a proper support & retail network, whereas HWS have essentially the bare minimum in this area hence the difference in prices.

HWS delivery prices are listed in a graphic unfortunately only in German. But the basic shipping is €4 I believe?

F.Y.I, I put a bank transfer in for my order on Friday morning, HWVS received it this morning and the goods are out for shipping. I used to not having bank transfers completing in less than 3 working days so this is good news! Made the transfer through AIB online.
