Paddy Power Android App

Just to let you all know Paddypower have released an Android App which is actually half decent, one or two things to be fixed, i.e. lacking in some markets but it's not a bad effort and just goes to show how Android is catching iOS.

Here's the QR code, just use barcode scanner and it will open it on your phone.

What's annoying me so far are golf markets, I can get the Portugal Open outright betting on my PC but not on the mobile markets, they should offer the same markets on the mobile site as they do on the web based site. Freaking annoying!

They have a page that sends you to a link that searches the market but nothing comes up in the search results.

Then, they have a website that's optimized for android but is not an android app.

the app has been taken down due to technical problems. PaddyPower are working on the problem.

This is probably gone because Google changed the terms for the market a while back to stop real money betting applications being released. Full tilt poker had to remove their app and release a play money only one. Had to go onto their site to get plug in for the app to play real money. Don't know how paddy will get around this one

The thing is I started out by going to paddypower.com and they directed me to the market.

But I can't find any reference to an apk download from their website. Not at all.

U will have to get the apk from someone. It's no longer in the market. Maybe contact paddy and ask them to send u the apk. The app is just a link to this url: http://android.paddypower.mobi/ u could just bookmark it.

strange, my brother has a Desire HD and it works fine for him. Is it that it won't even install or it won't launch once installed?

to be honest though, when you visit PP.com on the internet it should redirect to the android web app, which is the exact same as the downloaded version, save valuable flash drive space!!

Wont even try install just says won't work with phone.

not sure how you're trying to download it but the download won't work from the PC, try to visit the getjar link on your mobile (in the default browser) and see if it installs properly then.

..if not, either use the web app or contact customer service at paddy power and they'll help!

I used the mobile to do it. It's grand I wouldn't use it anyways. Only wanted it cos I'm not supposed to have it haha.

Does anyone know is it possible to view desktop version of paddy power site on android tablet device? Have tried the usual things eg debug buts keeps opening as android or iPhone device. mobile site not great in comparison!
