Do you get an email/text or anything from the library?

Like, a few days before your items are due back?

If not, I think it would be a good idea, and quite a feasible one given that Societies are well able to bombard you with them.

Surely the email thing would be very easy to implement? In fact I'll be surprised if this doesn't already happen.

Oh and I just logged into my "Library Account" to see when this book I have is due back, and it says I have no loans. Nice.

I get an email a few days beforehand telling me when it's due but also telling me i can renew the loan aswell. I assumed everyone did?

I've always received an email 3 days before the book is due. Never had a problem with the online library system myself, actually...

I always get an email as well telling me when the books are due back and which ones I currently have on loan.Never had any problems with the library's online system seems to be one small aspect of the college that actually functions as it should.

I almost always get reminders at the beginning of the week and/or a few days before the return is due.

However, one time last year I got hit with a fine (2 euro) because a reminder email didn't come through (wasn't in my spam). So now, I set reminders on Google Calendar, etc.
