Favourite quote in this one was "two, four, six, eight, Homers crime was very great. Great meaning larger or immense, we use it in the pejorative sense."

Anyone who thinks classic era Simpsons is/was ****, deserves to get shot out of a cannon. Onto a minefield.

Its garbage nowadays, but the mid 90s seasons were comedy genius. Some of the funniest television ever made.

Now, I'm not familiar with this technology, but I'm fairly sure that's Homer Simpson in the oven, slowly rotating, literally stewing in his own juices.

I'm living in the US and one of the things that struck me was how little the simpsons had an impact here compared to back home.

Every evening at 6 you'd check the channel 4 simpsons and the rte one and see if it was new or a repeat you prefered. That was every day at 6, you'd get a dose for years and years.

Now we all know the latest episodes are sh*te, but it is charming to me that we can all relate and ryhme off quotes easily while the Americans I live with haven't a clue what I'm on about if I use a simpsons quote.

    So in conclusion;

eat the pudding eat the pudding eat the pudding eat the pudding eat the pudding eat the pudding eat the pudding eat the pudding eat the pudding eat the pudding.....

True, though I have an American cous who can quote from it as impressively as any Irish person.

You're obviously not hanging out with the right Americans. I guess it also depends on the age group.

    (1) Homer: Sorry, Marge, I only eat food in bar form. When you concentrate food, you unleash its awesome power, I'm told. That's why I'm compressing 5 pounds of spaghetti into one handy mouth-sized bar. [He swallows the bar. Then dials the phone] Hospital, please.

    (2) Homer: Well, crying isn't gonna bring him back...unless your tears smell like dog food. So you can either sit there crying and eating can after can of dog food until your tears smell enough like dog food to make your dog come back or you can go out there and find your dog.
    Bart: Your right
Homer: Rats, I almost had him eating dog food!

    (3) Homer: Internet, eh?
    Scratch, eh?
    Maude, eh?

    (4) Homer: Marge, I'm pulling an all nighter for my little girl. Put on a pot of coffee, drink it, and start making burgers

    (5) Homer: [on candy-cell phone] Hello, Lollipop Island There's a little girl here who had too many sour balls.

Anyway, where were we? Hello? Hello? They hung up?
