    Yea, I agree.

No by going on about cameras and what they are capable of picking up when in reality he should have just left it to the legal team. He wasn't lying, he was just stupid to say it should have been picked up on camera when in reality he shouldn't have any clue whether it was or wasn't.

I doubt the case will be decided on Patrice's knowledge of Sky's camerawork.

Your scrambling around for straws at which to grasp since this was announced and your certainty about the innocence of Suarez based simply on the team he plays for and that of his accsor would be amusing if it wasn't so typical.

Even if Sueruz was convicted of making racial slurs, youd probably still try and find to worm out of it and blame Evra for being born black.

So if Evra says it's on the cameras & it's not on them, he's not lying?

He's mistaken. How could he possibly tell whats on camera or not? He shouldn't have said anything to that effect tbh but it isn't more an indication of his tendency to say too much than an indication of his truthfulness.

the only witnesses if i understand correctly are kuyt and de gea. de gea this morning on spanish radio said he knew nothing of suarez being racist to evra and also he speaks spanish.

i honestly think that if suarez is cleared of this, then evra should receive some type of ban

    Ahhhhh he's mistaken. Ok.

If that's the case, he should face a hefty ban for being so frivolous with his accusations of a very serious nature. It's not really something he can afford to be 'mistaken' about.

You should be glad he mentioned cameras as it will help Suarez's case more than Evra's, surely.

It certainly doesn't make him a liar though which is the straw you continue to grasp at.

Ok Mr. Hutz. Is he going to sue him too?

And the fa aren't going to ban Evra. That's ridiculous.

You wouldn't put anything past the FA given their recent dealings with the club tbh...........

Ha indeed. In fairness even most Liverpool fans agreed their treatment of Fergie last season after he paid a referee a compliment was ridiculous in the extreme.

From the quotes, it says he reported it after the match, it would seem he didn't mention it during the match.

It does have some relevance, he'll probably be asked why he didn't make a deal of it at the time.

He got booked for making a deal out of it didn't he?

I don't think any club is singled out for any rough tresatment over others.

Sure isn't David Gill on the FA board?

Think Babel's fine for posting a pic or Wolves getting a fine for a "weakened" team. Plenty of other examples but my brain isn't functioning too well today !

The problem is though that Suarez at best can only be found not guilty.

As I said in the Utd thread 3 things can happen

    1. Cameras pick up Suarez is a racist and he gets maybe a 5 match ban.
    2. Cameras are inconclusive, Suarez is not guilty, this does not make him innocent either.
    3. Evra is lying and deserves a 5 match ban of his own, this one is the impossible one though as cameras cannot tell if a player is lying.

Yeah, which is why I found it odd Evra specifically said he made the referee aware of it afterwards.

Anyway, we'll see if the FA can make anything of it.

    1) Handball on the line that most pros would do & what I'd want any player on my team to do.
    2) Biting someone which was scummy, no doubt, however, the player he bite was a mate of his & the two walked off at the end of the match with their arms around eachother.
    2) He was caught & his ankle jarred underneath Rodwell as the pics posted here recently proved definitively.

What any of that has to do with him being branded a racist is beyond me though.
