What was the first song you ever loved?

The first song I really loved was Bright Eyes by Art Garfunkel. It came out when I was two or three years old. One of my sisters had the tape and I would sit in the kitchen listening to it over and over for ages.

Good question, there were so many tunes from my childhood its difficult to remember which of those now classics was the first.

Get the pitch forks ready but I'm guessing mine was the Pokemon theme song.

Yeah me too. It would've been stuff I heard on Top of the Pops in the mid 80s. Things like Madonna and a definite early favourite was the Pet Shop Boys' 'Always on my Mind', which to this day I prefer to the Elvis one.

Bright Eyes for me too I would think, definitely one of my earliest memories in terms of being very young and loving music. Also around the same time I remember my mother playing a lot of Abba and Planxty, so both of those also form early special memories.

Oh and Watership Down would probably still reduce me to tears even at 35 years old

I used to be obsessed, as many others were, with Queens greatest hits 1 from about 6 years of age on, still my favourite band by a country mile to this day, and of all the songs on it, this got serious play altogether, and so I would class it as the first song I loved I suppose:

The First Song I Loved:- Mine would have to be Never Forget by Take That.

I remember listening to it en route to a relative's Graduation in Templemore way back when it was newly released and it just struck me and still does tbh!
