Is there any promising player on the u18 squad?

Tyler Blackett is good, he's a full-back. IMO, he has the best chance at United from the current team. Joe Rothwell and Tom Lawrence are also fairly decent. Gyliano van Velzen is good to, but can't see him making it. Don't know what to make of Mats Daehli, when he arrived everyone said he had loads of potential and he showed glimpses of it, but not consistently. Hasn't been starting this season either.

    Cheers baz.

You seem have great knowledge of team. Hopefully we pull some these through in the future.

There's 2 Irish lads and 2 Northern Irish lads on the team too. Hopefully Joe Coll, who seems to be the first choice U-18 keeper, progresses well.

This may be old - probably is, but sure what the harm, in case someone has missed it:

    Interview with Paul Scholes.....
He really doesn't like the attention but the interview shows the guy as he is.

Not sure if this was posted before, just watching it now. Seems like a good lad.

Crerand banging on endlessly about him not liking going out is a bit grating after a while. Terrible interviewer.

I hate these international breaks so much.

And Crerand proceeds to remind Berba his hatred of interviews. Berba is a cool guy, Crerand is a _______.

Great interview. Really humble guy. I love seeing people like that making it.

Actually from thinking about this Berba is a damn nice bloke and he'd be welcome round my house for tea, any day of the week.

Getting Hernandez on a long term is great business. Berbatov is probably surplus to requirements now...would still be great for most PL teams.

If Rooney gets injuried over a long period, I would want it to be something like Welbeck and Berbatov. Don't think Welbeck and Hernandez would be enough at the moment.

For me, Berbatov's position in the squad is being taken up by Rooney atm. If Rooney gets injuried, I think Berbatov would work incredibly well in a system with Cleverely behind him, Welbeck in front of him, and Young and Nani cutting in. He's like Cantona, he needs runners around him

That's exactly the way i see it too, i think it's call between Rooney and Berb and rooney will get it the majority of times, but i can def see Berba playing that Cantona type role with ease.

No surprise that Berbatov's best form at United came when Rooney missed so much football before Christmas last season.

Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest. It seems like the scummy behaviour Leeds fans would be capable of.

Every club in the world has an idiot element to them, doesnt matter if its football, gaa or rugby there is a minority who just cant behave like normal human beings

Yeah lump us all in one boat.

Not like some of your fans wouldn't write 'Istanbul' at Elland Road.

Its stuns me how often it is necessary for this to be pointed out on here. Every fanbase has scumbags, but every fanbase seemingly has many more who lack the basic wit to comprehend this rather simple fact.

Still though if I was to land in middle of Fulham or Crystal Palace fans for instance I feel lot safer then say West ham or Birmigham. I was ****ting my pance at one stage in St Andrews last year and I was in middle of the United fans:o..

No question every team has it idiots of support, but some have a little larger minority then others and from been to about 30 stadiums in England and Scotland there is certain supporters I be more careful of wearing the wrong gear or station with a United Jersey(which I dont wear but know other who take risk) then others.

I saw supporters of one particular team before kick lumps out of a father who 9 year old son was wearing the away teams colours as they were going to their car.

It's not all that black and white sometimes.

Yeah, the idea that equal proportions of scumbag fans exist is wrong. All we know is that every club has at least some scumbags, but comparing say Millwall fans with Fulham fans is a bit pointless, they are chalk and cheese for the most part.

Its a shame Berba can't get a look in this season. I rate him very highly but we are blessed with an abundance of talent in the forward department. He's got an amazing touch and attitude but pace seems to be the charateristic of the UTD team this season.

The highest compliment I can pay him is that he's a better player than he is a person, and thats saying something because he looks like one of the most honest and humble guys I have ever seen.

I would never be unhappy to see him in the squad replacing any of our strikers and playing alongside any others. I always feel he can do a good job.

But ridiculing all leeds fans for something that was most likely commited by a small minority is hypocritical as every club has that element of support so its not really fair to label all leeds fans as capable of scumbag behaviour when we all know our own clubs has just as many imbaciles

I agree, it was stupid of him to tar all Leeds fans with the same brush.
