Fletcher u-turn: Manchester United midfielder jets out to join Scotland
Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher is set to make a shock appearance for Scotland in Saturday's Euro 2012 Group I qualifier against Liechtenstein in Vaduz.

Craig Levein had ruled his skipper out with tonsilitis and the Reds man did not travel with the squad to their Switzerland base.

But the Scotland boss, speaking at the Scots' hotel in St Gallen, said: "Darren will arrive today and I have not 100 per cent ruled him out of tomorrow.

    "He feels better.

"He will do something on his own today.

"I have to wait to see him and assess him. If the medical team gives him the thumbs up he will play, if not he is 100 per cent certain to be involved on Tuesday (against Spain)."

Crazy summer, probably close to 70 years of playing at the club between the players signed in 91

Fabio is supposed to be starting tonight for Brazil .

Did anyone read Fergie saying he sees Valencia as an option in centre midfield ?

No I think he only said because of his pace and versatility he can play right back, heard or read nothing about midfield.

However, that is not to say he didn't say it and Valencia does play in CM for his country.

Cant get a game at RB for United but he is in for Brazil, niiice :P Guessing it is just a friendly and they arent playing the likes of Alves and Lucio?

Any sign of Ando even getting in the squad?

He [Valencia] is incredibly difficult to beat if you’re trying to get around him,” said Fergie. “We also see him as an option in the centre of midfield. He’s very disciplined and able to carry out any instruction we give him.”

I believe its a squad with the olympics in mind. They're taking it serious in Brazil so are gearing up towards it by playing friendlies with their under 23s.

The move to us really seems to of ignited the hunger in young. It's great to see that for any player(except when they score against us)

    Nani scored.
Both Young and Evra gone off injured.
Evra being injured could be a blessing in diguise, imo.
