lets not hound the poster, anyone else know a tesco manager?

Yes, me. I got no email. There were emails a few weeks ago with lists of clearance lines but this is the stuff we've talking about on here for the last few weeks. The lists were long an most stores didn't work through the list as it was like needle in a haystack stuff. That's the reason these bargains had to be hunted for and a lot of the time that's why the prices were wrong on the shelves.
Staff obviously hot wind first and then they started scanning random items to request a new price label, keeping most of the good stuff and putting out what they had a lot of. I originally started this thread and ithers to make you guys aware of the type of things that are reduced and to tell you to hit the price checkers. So what Louise posted is somewhat true but slightly exaggerated but just a little late. There is no new list but there could still be undiscovered gems. I only seen the activity on this topic now. I'd have posted this earlier if I had if realized what was going on. Sorry folks.
I'll keep you updated if anything materializes though.

Can you keep us up to date with any official price changes, hearing anything like this second hand things always get fabricated, I would have to think there may be €40 TVs on the list but it is most likely a CRT in some dark corner of a storeroom in Bray or who knows where as for the computers that is what I am after so any official info would be greatly welcomed.

I'm not sure I believe that there will be €40 tellies but maybe, just maybe there will be €150 laptops. Son is looking for one from Santy so even if the specs are not very good, it will do him as even Santy is feeling the pinch:cool: Will be heading out to Tesco in a while and will report back

It might be wise to steer clear of Tesco today as the ravenous hoards begin the search for craptops.

    any news on tv??

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,626 ✭✭✭wmpdd3

There were masses of mark downs yesterday, but alot of it was seriously aincent stuff that was reduced already over a year ago. If the store was run right they should have been well sold out. There were more 75% off reductions in H/B, Clearasil stuff, Tesco mens blades....
