how much for a clutch to be done in vw polo 98

    hi guys anybody know roughly how much a new clutch will cost in a 98 1.4 polo im selling it so just want to know how much its going to cost so i know how much to sell it cheers

    reconditioned would cost 40 -60 euro (just pressure plate) if springs good order. labor 150.so roughly 200 euro... unless you are doing yourself... :) i used to do myself :) way cheaper.

    i bought a pressure plate for a focus in a scrapyard for 20 euro and put it into the car when i had it

    Selling our not i would never advertise putting in second hand parts.and defo not when you have the gear box out for the sake of saving a few quid u will buy a complete clutch kit which included a new pressure plate clutch disc and release bearing for 120e and as stated labour about 150e

    New 3 part clutch kit for that is just under €100 from gsf so around €250 should see you right.

    A new clutch kit is worth every cent simply for piece of mind that you wont be having to do the same job twice, and if your paying someone to do it then you will end up paying labour twice which will probaly equal nearly half the value of the motor itself...just my 2cents worth
