I want to reformat my laptop but want my iP4 and iTunes to be the same after I do this.

I am using a program called Sharepod to backup songs and playlists to a harddrive.

Am I missing something or can I just reformat and drag all the files into iTunes. Plug in iPhone, erase and sync?

Thanks in advance for any helpful suggestions/comments.
