Direct connection to UPC phone service

Good morning all. I have UPC's phone service into the house, and i am wondering if there is a way to connect directly to the VOIP server on their end over IP, with something like, say, Asterisk... would make building a VOIP server easier since i wouldent need to add phone cards, etc...

Nope, Afraid not, the only way to connect to UPC's phone service is via the telephone ports on the cable modem/router
