Dropping out of course, fees still charged?

I started a hdip this week and am feeling like I've made a mistake in choosing this course already. I'd like to give it a few weeks just to be sure it's not right for me, but I'm also thinking if I leave now they might not make me pay the fees for this term?

So far I've only paid €150, the fee for this term will be €2500 in total. I'm wondering if they allow you a period of grace, say 2 or 3 weeks into your course in which time you can drop out and not be elligible for the full fee for the term?

I think if you drop out by October, you are not charged full fees, before Christmas its half fees, and after Christmas its full fees

Sorry to bring up this thread again, but what is the procedure for dropping out?

I can find info on the UCC site about taking a leave of absence for a few years, but nothing about actually leaving your course.
