    Recently started learning Blender. I applied what I have picked up so far to my data centre research. This clip took over 2 hours to render at 100% CPU load - future efforts will probably be limited to available processing power...

    is this meant to be part of something or just an animation test?
    it still looks very good to me, just that it lacks context.

    Very nice.

    Two hours seems a long time. How many vertices or polygons are there?

    16 seconds @ 30fps = 480 frames/120mins = 4mins a frame.

    Is there a huge amount of polygons hidden away somewhere? Is the framework under the floor very poly intensive perhaps?

    How many lights do you have? They dont seem to be casting shadows.

    Each server in each cabinet is fully rendered - thus the phenomenal amount of vertices etc :)
