Read the whole Noughts and Crosses series. Worth the read, though beyond the first book they start losing direction. They read fairly quickly, you could probably get through the book in a sitting or two.

Read about half of "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies". It was grand but didn't make me want to keep reading and I eventually abandoned it. Doubt I could read it without the zombie element, it was so drab between the zombie scenes.

Animal Farm is a great book, and nice and short as well. It is exceedingly witty, but will only make sense if you have a very small knowledge of dictatorial history for it.

Never Let Me Go is brilliant, really good read and it just leaves you dying to move onto the next chapter and see what happens next. Plenty to talk about too. So good.

I didn't like Noughts and Crosses that much, it was grand like, fairly easy read but I just didn't like the writing style and the dialogue a lot, it felt a bit...forced to me. I don't know, probably waffling. :pac:

Wuthering Heights is one of my favourite books ever, but it'd probably be a bit more work to get through than the rest.

I'd highly recommend Never Let Me Go. Wish I could read that again from a fresh perspective...

    Edit: I'm sick too. CLUB.

Extra edit: You added The Book Thief to your list? READ IT. Or Never Let Me Go. Either would suffice as excellent ways to spend your time.

Funny, I actually thought of him - yaknow, just to open up my perspective on rap culture and everything, and prove to myself that I'm open-minded :D

Good for you, but Arnie = eww. He looks like something went horribly wrong in PS.... :pac:

Oh, Ireland. It is in many ways just England: Junior Edition.

Is that Phil bloke still in Eastenders? I remember him being a complete badass whenever it was on.

I've tried to read Catch 22 on three separate occasions. I always picked bad times to start reading it but nothing ever motivated me to get past the first two hundred pages. It's like, I should love it, the humorous narrative is the kind of thing I like, the kind of thing I write myself, but I keep putting it on the shelf...perhaps it's the array of characters to remember, seeing as everytime I just read a chapter here and there, so naturally I forgot things.

That didn't require the above essay but not finishing such a critically-acclaimed book that is in my possession still haunts me. I will read it, someday.

How could it be THAT difficult? lol books aren't that much of a challenge.

I found C22 particullarly iteresting because of it's slightly psychotic, zany, yet true outlook on life. Best war story I've read, actually. Yossarian is a badass!!

It is a good example of why books sometimes are better off not having a film counterpart. With Catch 22 you...couldn't. A lot of the book relies on your own imagination.

And then Trainspotting (the film) is as good as the book. Fantastic, then. :D
