Lots of interesting things happening this week.

Firstly I've noticed the test channel on 750 is now passing all red button tests, complete with IP and network connection.

We have two new channels coming tomorrow, EPG placement hasn't been announcemed yet, but I'm going to be interested into which grouping they will be placed.

And on Tuesday we have a mystery media event happening. What are they announcing/launching?

It's going to be an interesting week ahead for UPC!

I lost it with UPC and I went for a HD combo box in one room and Sky Plus HD in the other.

I went for the full pack with Sky and I still have to pay for the €15 HD charge on top.

Sky has a more slick TV service but UPC is better value.

Free to air combo box with HD is an eye opener.

Rte 2 Channel 4 BBC 1 ITV 1 and BBC HD all in HD for nothing really makes you rethink pay TV.

Food Network and True Movies 1.. I also think they might be launching there , A text or App service so you can pre record while you are away from your box.

They are cutting the cost of their broadband packages, according to today's Sunday Times.

Ran the red button on test channel 750, failed on 3 out of 5, using Thompson media box, non HD.
