Sorry. Good point. I was never a fan of them to be honest. Strolling bones all the way bud

Ye've got it backwards, The Beatles were one of the most important bands of the last century, The Rolling Stones were basically a covers band

people would be praying to some other self professed dude from them times who was a good sales man and the times version of David Blaine-or we'd all be lacking in the foreskin department..

    I'd personally pick Maggie Thatcher-what a Cnut.

No I don't and I don't think everybody west of the Shannon would think that way either.

Probably Gavrillo Princip. Asssassinated the the Archduke Franz Ferdinand in 1914 and began a chain of events that led to World War 1 and consequently World War 2.

But then I guess we wouldn't have as such fancy technology today if we hadn't had both those wars so I don't know maybe Jedward on second thoughts.

You're right, Dimebag was a talented musician.

If you honestly think John Lennon had no talent, then I dispair even more for the Dimebag nut-huggers!

Nope, I have it completely correct! Whilst I can see what you're saying about The Rolling Stones, there's no getting past the fact that, before The Beatles became THE most important band of all time, they started out as a rent-a-band in Liverpool and then Germany, who played covers on stage every night. And then went onto release albums choc full of cover versions (along with originals too of course).

Their first 2 albums, Please Please me and With The Beatles, had 6 cover versions each. That's a lot by any standard.

By the way, i wasn't having a go. I'm a massive Beatles fan. But facts are facts!

eh, rolling stones first album or two were cover albums aswell. read keith richards book, all he did was play along to blues records for years. Their second single was a beatles song.

Yup, a frankly horrible version of "I Wanna Be Your Man". it wasn't a cover though, it was written for them by Lennon and McCartney.

But yeah, even the Stones' originals were recycled copies of blues songs. Super stuff though :)

He was a good songwriter. He knew how to sell records I'll give you that but as a musician he was pretty ****.

I'd probably kill that mark chapman fella who shot john lennon. Only reason i would do it is because I cant stand the beatles and would love for john lennon to live and sell out majorly.
