Hi, need a bit of help - during my install of Ubuntu on a Windows XP Laptop I choose Dual Boot, and during the partitioning stage it failed.

Now I only have the option of a full install of Ubuntu by overwriting Windows, the dual install option is gone. Any way around this so I can try again with the dual boot install?

    thanks

Id say best bet for you is a wubi install its called, start windows as normal, and run the ubuntu disc from inside it, it'll install a dual boot option for you,

no problem, it has it limitations this way, but it'll give you a good feel for it, and when you get used/confident with it, you can do a proper install !

    good luck :D
