HP Touchpad Thread (NO Discussion Of Personal Buying/Selling)

Can anyone help me?
I need a new case/skin for my touchpad, Any ideas?
I'm also looking for some good apps if you know any.
Oh yeah one more thing does anyone know if I can put android on it?

Well I'm off now to polish my touchpad.

So if I can't do a "check availability" on Argos.ie they don't have any right?

Argos is a bit of mystery. I rang the customer service number and spoke to a very nice english chap who was able to tell me how many my local argos store and how many where close by, however all of them are reserved. He said that they had taken the decision to remove them from the system due to overload on the servers with people querying them. Also I went to my local store and the stock reserve screen showed none in stock yet the manager was able to show me 2 in his all for other people all be it.

A lot of people may have bought Touchpads but very few are capable of helping develop a stable Android build. A fully functional, stable port of Android will take quite some time regardless of the amount of people working on it.

After using it for a few hours I'm not too bothered if they don't get android for it, webOS is fine. Only thing annoying me about it so far is that there's no kindle app on the Irish store, probably a lot of others U.K. only too.

No doubt i'll get the usual crowd moaning about "unproductive posts" and whatever else but for a 16GB Touchpad...

€200-€300 on Ebay.

Because they are not making them any more. They want to get rid of stock.
I am surprised they are going for so much on ebay.

I had a reservation from last Sunday! My OH thinks its crap, my son thinks its brill! Will wait to reserve my opinion til next week as its a tool for me to search for jobs on the move!

I wonder if there was any chance I could have got one there at 9 this morning when I was all over cork looking for one. They might have had 1 or 2. Wat a balls I'm absolutely sickened as the girlfriend was goin to get one for me bday!

Probably a silly question but how did ye all get reservations for argos, I was looking online from before they weven went down in price and it just kept coming up saying out of stock.

Checked in the Sony Store today on the off chance seeing as everyone seemed to forget them but they said they never stocked it?

I checked my local chipper, nothing and apparently they never stocked it

What a strange world we live in...

The next gold rush is going to be getting the covers and docks for the tablet. I'm looking now and can't get any that deliver to Ireland. Really haven't the energy left to go back into Dublin tomorrow to check the PC world/currys argos etc etc all over again.

I tweeted about Tallaght and ArgosHelpers picked up on it and asked me to email them the details. Apparently someone in the "relevant department" will be calling me today. My guess it that it will just be an apology of some sort.

Sorry if this has been discussed already but does anyone have any idea if Argos in the Blanch SC has stock for reservations?

My reservation is supposed to be available for pickup from today. I guess I'll give them a call first, but anyone had any good/bad experiences in getting their reservations there so far?

same here, i had a reservation for pickup today. was told it was cancelled as no stock arrived to fulfill it....im also wondering whether to pop in...
