Reserve has been disabled since yesterday. I'd say any lapsed reservations will be bought up by staff.

Yeah, BOI still does laser, and I was talking about 2006. It's taken years for us to catch up with something that woud've driven ecommerce in this country in a big way. Our government consistently fails when it comes to all things tech. What am I saying, they consistently fail at everything!

I just picked my touchpad from my local argos, after reserving it last week. Got a text this morning at 10 saying it was in stock to collect. They had about 5 or 6 of them on the top shelf behind the counter. They seem to be actually keeping them now for customers, perhaps the staff got a bollocking. Id say you would be ok, but maybe ring them to be sure its kept.

Not everyone can que outside from early morning due to actually having to go to work etc. but if you've got nothing else to do and really want one, then get up early and start queing. Theres always the chance of getting one.

Result! Had an Argos reservation for next Tuesday in Cruises St Limerick went in to check order not showing on the Kiosk but went to counter and spoke to a lovely lady who told me that not only was ny reservation on the system but was ready for collection! Now proud owner (I hope) of a 32gb . She also mentioned there would be more stock coming in around sept 13th so there's hope yet.

Official argos twitter said theres no more stock coming to any argos stores so Argos seems to be gone now with regards getting one.

iPad original cases fit it perfectly,bf got one for me and him for the bargain price of twenty euro in pc world!

The best bet if you dont have a code is to go into argos first thing in the morning and hope that someone didnt collect their order and res code has expired.

Considering the mess they made of launching the Touchpad I must say I am not surprised. They've kept retailers in the dark and damaged their reputations (In the eyes of unreasonable customers anyway)

Argos have the HP cases down to €25. I think they got a bit carried away; they can't be reserved or stock checked.

the soft cases fit perfectly, not the click in ones obviously. Get a cheap soft case on ebay from China if you can wait!?

I think reservation codes expire when the shop closes, so your best bet would be to try and reserve on line immediately after closing time
