Don't bother with Ilac or Jervis, I've just been in both.

Laughed out of the Ilac and shot down by Jervis aswell.

The one in the Ilac said that Dundrum got 15 in this morning but they are long gone now.

Yeah, I jumped in the car when I saw jimdagyms post and 20 minutes later in Argos Dundrum was told that they had none and she sold none and she was the only checkout girl today.

What a waste of time and €2 parking!

Although I really want one still, I'm starting to think if the next gen of slates have Honeycomb and decent spec + price, it might be better off in the longrun to wait. Theres the Archos ones and also ZTE(Orange San Francisco makers) are doing decent spec'd with a value price ina few months.

Just curious did anyone get one in the Tallaght Argos Branch ?

If so , when ? and when was your reservation valid from

or when for a non reserved purchase ?

I was there about 30 mins ago with my reservation number and they said that they are not expecting any stock in. I've got in touch @argoshelpers on Twitter so will keep you posted as to what their response is.

If you had gone into Tesco's and bought some goods, you could have got free parking (think it's 30 worth).

    comgateway

Unfortunately Comgateway won't work, unless there's more to it than I'm aware of. I already have the US address of a friend to ship to, the problem is the HP site only seems to accept orders where both the shipping and billing addresses are both the same and both in the US, I even tried paypal and I kept getting an address error. So unless Comgateway have some other trick it won't work because your ship address would be in the US - Comgateway, but your billing address would be in Ireland, unless you get the loan of a US credit card and even then I suspect HP is requiring the two addresses to match.

Wow! Current bid $660, started at $499. What kind of fools would pay that kind of money for an Android Touchpad!?! Qualcomm bounty? You give me $660 and I'll give $1500... Yeah right. Looks like a scam, smells like a scam, feels like a scam, it is a scam.

But then, I know an African prince who has Billions of $$$, he'll give you a slice if you let him rest it in your bank account!!! :D

It's not the functionality people are bidding on, more the collectibility of it

I had 2 confirmed orders with Amazon.com & Barnes & Noble. Both cancelled due to no stock. Thankfully Argos reservation came through.

Came across this to speed up the Touchpad. Apparently there is a fair amount of sytem logging going on in the background:

People who queued at Argos Dundrum this morning probably saw it on this site. It would be nice if they made some other contributions other than just take

Yeah, I don't get it. He could claim 1500 right now but obviously hopes for more, how would this benefit the buyer though?

Nice scam if he was the person that originally offered the bounty last week. ;-)

when I used it for the converse website I had to use the personal shopper service they have. The way it works is you set up an account and they assign an address to you which is a po box in their warehouse. Then you use the personal shopper service and they pay for what you want with their bank account. I tried everything else with the converse, even if you use paypal it has to be a paypal with an American credit card. You can't use your friends us address with comgateway, they get the product sent to themselves in a warehouse in oregan and then post it on to you. This is all on their website, just read it. And I have used comgateway and it is the best service of its kind and their rates are the best and making an account is free.

It violates Ebay's chance listings policy. Frankly, that's completely scuzzy. I don't expect it to last long either, sometimes people really need to be protected from their own stupidity.

I think I might melt with excitement.

Just got a text from Argos telling me it's in stock and will be kept till Sept 1st.

Is it safe enough to leave it till tomorrow, I have an appointment in that area so can pick it up before lunch tomorrow, it's an hour and halfs drive for me.

did this last night and it makes a huge difference! Was following a different guide but used the same patches! Also added increase touch sensitivity and faster card animinations!ntouchpad is much snappier now:-) its a much more straight forward process in terms of errors compared to cydifying an iphone, ipad!

just got on to @argoshelpers and got this joke of a response:

"Hi, I have called the store and I am sorry but due your reservation is no longer vaild."

it was in response to me asking about my reservation number from the ilac, valid friday to tuesday.
