I just got off the phone with Argos again.

My reservation is unlikely to be honoured. The excuse I got is that "there were multiple orders on the same reservation number" :rolleyes:

The guy I was speaking to suggested I ring back to speak to the manager later this afternoon.

Reserved one on expansys yesterday afternoon, not too optimistic they'll get stock etc. However this is the reply I got when I queried my order today. I opted to bay by bank transfer, to ensure my card didn't get charged.

"Hello,

for the moment we do not know the price as our suppliers don’t offer it at discount prices at least not at this time so your order is on hold till we will have the confirmation.

You card has not been charged but the money has been reserved according the value of the order.

we are in talks with suppliers right now but some far we got no reply or confirmation about this from them or HP directly if they will honour this rebate.

If this is confirmed, we will contact all backorders and let them know the new price as soon as we will have confirmed information and asked them to RE-confirm the orders before shipping them out.

im not expecting them to call me, but they should at least send me an email, they have no problem doing that every week listing their 'bargains', confirming orders etc. ehh... seems that there is no tablet for me as expansys want to charge me 430, amazon canceled and things are not looking too well with fnac too

I doubt they're cancelled, it's probably just a glitch on the site as surely they're automated systems would automatically dispatch an email upon cancellation

Most people should resign themselves that getting a €99 Tablet at this stage is a pipe dream. You need to be extraordinarily lucky because there simply is nowhere near enough supply to meet the demand.

If Amazon can't get any more in stock then it doesnt bode well for FNAC, and especially not Expansys.

They do it all the time unfortunately. Happened recently with a 1TB USB drive that was mispriced. No explanation, no apology, nothing, order just vanished.

Re the Amazon deletions. Some guy on hotukdeals apparently rang Amaxon and told him that all orders are cancelled after 3 days if they have no stock or no idea when they will get stock.

Game might very well be up if the likes of Amazon can't source any more stock...

Update from amazon

When we contacted the supplier for an update they informed us that they won’t be able to source this item.
As we can’t supply this item, it has been cancelled from your order and you have not been charged for it. Cancelled orders no longer appear in your order history.
