No wonder HP failed. This is a complete mess. First over priced and now when we actually want the damn thing, next to zero are available.

I managed to reserve one in Argos on the recommendation of a friend at the very start before this whole boards thing exploded, and because I was worried I might not get it, I pre-ordered one from expansys today, but chose the bank transfer option, so waiting to see when and if it comes in stock what price it is at before I transfer the money.

Really hoping at least one of them comes through, if both do (both 32gb) I will put the other one at cost on Adverts, as it was here I learned about the expansys pre ordering.

Hope everyone who got theirs is really happy with it!

They shifted whatever units remained to retailers / suppliers.

Cancel I don't think they are honoring the price drop and will sell it to you at full price

Think i'm quitting on this bargain hunt . I only want it for browsing and reading comics and it's just not worth the effort of chasing up numerous websites.

Are there any alternatives in a similar price bracket?

"Fnac: Good evening everyone on the # touchpad, the status "command in preparation" means that the product was ordered from supplier # hp"

There is no stock anywhere.
As far as I can make out people are pre-ordering at full price in the likes of Argos in the hope that they will drop their prices to the new price over the coming days.... which I doubt

You can get a 7" Android Tablet from Dealextreme with 256MB RAM, a crappy ARM11 CPU, 2 hour battery life and a resistive touch screen in the price bracket.
