I wonder if the ANPR managed to catch the OP soiling themselves.

It must have been after so. Maybe the two incidents were unrelated.

And of course I never doubted the OP

I just love it when those who jump to conclusions, and revel in mockery, are shown for what they are. HAHA.

Thanks OP, you just made my day.

    OP
If you feel the Gardai's behaviour was unacceptably reckless and endangered your life, you could consider making a complaint to the Garda Siochana Ombudsman Commission
    http://www.gardaombudsman.ie/
Click on the complaints section and about half way down is a link to submit a complaint through an online form on the website.

(NOTE: I'm not a police basher, just that my dad works for the ombudsman and apparently traffic incidents are among the most common complaints they receive... I'm all for the Gards being able to speed if they absolutely need to, but there's a limit to how much reckless endangerment to innocent bystanders is actually acceptable imo)

****ing place is turning into one of them American bank robber films, Garda shooting into the back of a car failing to kill anyone. Innocent people rammed off the road by the Garda. Then the thieves make a great escape again only to be caught.

    were they real guns ?

Sources say they heard one of the guards say "pew, pew" while pointing his finger at the car.

Did anyone see photo's of Feeky's grind teacher?

Was there ever a video of Facekicker kicking anybody in the face?

Given what happened once they got out it sounds like a situation where they needed to.

Also did you just basically shill the ombudsman? Ha

Anyway was driving back from Naas tesco towards Ballymore Eustace when a garda car speeding along the wrong side of the road rammed a car into a ditch 2 meters away from us. To avoid them we had to drive into the ditch on the other side of the road. Anyway the 2 garda in the car got out of their car and began shooting into the car they just ran off the road.. it was mad i couldn't believe my eyes. The car they were chasing just drove off towards naas. It was madness the garda car didn't even have their emergancy lights on we nearly ploughed into them.
    because of this.

Im very annoyed right now as if we had have seen the garda car even 1 second later we surely would have been dead right now. Don't these guards have to flash there lights when they're driving like lunatics? Madness

    I call bullsh!t

The OP's account is missing one car, and some bad guy getting arrested.

How would blue lights have changed anything in this situation? Also how were you nearly killed? Lastly, where they wearing their hats?

Yes, I said I didn't believe the OP's initial story. Sue me. I later asked the OP to clarify his account of what happened which made little to no sense at first telling. The actual account makes a lot more sense. Cynicism remains.

    As detectives, it's unlikely.

I reckon the Ombudsman will be all over this already if shots were fired.

If I swerve to avoid a cop car which is involved in a chase, and assuming that the cop car would've hit me had I not avoided it, and I go into a ditch/hit a wall etc..

Who is responsible for the damage to my car?

I always wondered that.. like would I run (edit: run very quickly) after the cop car and insist on getting their insurance details or do you just call up the Ombusman and put in a claim?

I believe on their heads,in accordance with standard operating procedure, according to an unnamed official source.
