Ceiling Paint - what to do?

    Hi

    I am a total newbie at all this DIY so hoping you can point me in the right direction on how to fix this issue.

    I painted the ceiling in my front room today after a leak from upstairs that happened around six months ago. Leak etc was fixed at the time and I finally got around to painting the ceiling today.

    I put two coats of paint on the ceiling and the stain is still showing.

    Can you advise what I should use to get rid of this? Is there a specific type of primer or paint that could remove this? Where could I get it?
