How to find a bands sound?

hey. Is there a website out there that tells you what equipment or pedals bands like Jet, the who and rolling stones use? or more modern bands like kings of leon etc etc? Jammy

Don't forget that the recording process can alter an instrument's sound a lot. Gear is only part of the equation.
