I'm in Canada at the moment and I was trying to explain to the crowd here that we don't really "date" which remined me of a piece of standup and I think it was des bishop about asking an Irish girl for a date.....he goes on to explain her reaction and the explanation that she'll be out with her friends and he'll be out…

I know the bit you're talking about cant remember what show its from though sorry,it is Des Bishop though, all his shows are on youtube
