    friend of a friend is entering ul as a mature student. having previously been a garda. can someone tell me please if he is entitled to free fees? he has subsequently been told otherwise.

    I think grants, of any kind, depend on the income level. It's all about the income threshold.

    If he's never attended college before he will be state funded.

    however doesn't garda college count as college no? and income level is probably right. thanks for your help.
