Transfer from level 7 to level 8

It's too late for me to add a level 8 course as my first choice to my CAO application. My first choice is a level 7 of the same course. Is it possible if I am accepted into the course to transfer straight to the level 8 instead?

If they're the same course the first 3 years will probably be the same anyway. After the 3 years you could apply to do the honours(level 8) - the outcome will be the exact same.
