Been following a few mods on different sites of the ego-t and Im wondering if anyone has an idea what to use as replacement wicks.

The actual removal and replacement is really easy and Ive just taken apart an old 510 atty that was fecked and used the wick out of that.The old ego-t wick was black and burnt and I couldnt get a decent draw from it.

With the new wick in place its like a new atty.

While it was apart I cleaned the whole lot down.I reckon with more wick in there and that little ball of metal gone the draw would be huge.

Any ideas what I could use as a new wick to replace the wick in both my attys??

Its supposed to be some sort of silca thread/rope.

A clearomiser/cartomiser is an atomiser and cartridge combined. Instead of a 3 part e-gig, you now have a 2 part unit. Battery, cartomiser, that's it. They make different cartomisers for different batteries.
You can refill them a few times, and then throw them away.
Users reckon they get better throat hit, taste and are more cost effective than buying atomisers on their own.

Just another update.

For wick material the wick from a zippo is made from the same stuff as the original wick.

Its coated in cotton and wrapped with wire so what you have to do is carefully unwrap the wire,strip the cotton off and your left with silca rope.Just bought a new Zippo wick tonigh and tried it with my spare atty that was not working the best--100% better and from one zippo wick you`ll probably get enough for 5/6 new wicks for a couple of euro.

The trick is to get the wick filling the piercing hole but not too tight.Then you trim it in line with the base of the piercing plate both top and bottom.I tried various lengths and this seesm to be the ideal one.Too long at the bottom and you get a burny taste from the wick hitting the coil and too long at the top and you dont get enough juice into the coil--well more like it takes too long to soak through the wick.

Tested it against a brand new Atty bought today and the modded one has a better taste and hit.

Might help someone else in the future.
