would bootcamp hinder performance?

    Hey guys,
    thinking of dual booting my new mac,
    only reason is that i want to play Super Street Fighter 4,
    ofcourse if theres even a slight hinderance in performance then i will probably leave it. I understand stat/booting up will be slower [how slow btw] but anything else such as longer disk search times etc then il leave it

    is there any other way to run this game on it?

    Bootcamp just creates an extra partition on your hard drive with Windows on it. It doesn't affect OS X's performance.

    yeah but does partitions result in longer disk search times?
    also creating partitions after disk is already in use is never good either? [however thats the + of bootcamp but im not sure of the performance]

    No. My knowlede is a bit rusty but my memory is that if anything it will give you shorter disk search times as it will only be searching one partition each address refers to a shorter block of data and you can zip thru it quicker. But like I said I could be out of date.

    Ah creating partitions when a disk is in use used to be a pain in the ass but has become alot easier. On mac disk utility is very easy to use and create partitions - even on a machine you've been using for a while
