    Just some interesting things I have found from 5 mins research,

    1 Ezra is very involved in human rights issues in Isreal, http://www.variety.com/review/VE1117936692?refcatid=31

    2 Ezra has been arrested many times and has huge support from many persons around the world. http://www.petertatchell.net/international/israel/help-save-ezra-nawi-from-jail.htm

    3 Ezra had a long term boyfriend who is a west bank refugee trying to remain in Isreal because he is gay and he has claimed he could be the victim of an honour killing. He has also been arrested on occasions for been illegal in Isreal.

    4 Ezra's partner was born in 1976 or 1977 as he was 27 in November 2003 so I am guessing. While the following article states they met when youth was 19, it is never the less interesting. http://dissidentvoice.org/Articles9/Gordan_Moussa.htm

    I am just wondering is the boy from 1992 the same one Ezra was with in 2003.

    DAVID NORRIS HAS withdrawn from a guest spot on TV3′s Tonight with Vincent Brown show.
    Norris was due to present the show tomorrow night. A TV3 spokesperson has confirmed to TheJournal.ie that he has withdrawn.

    The Senate conducted an investigation, suspended and took disciplinary action last year against Ivor Callely,

    In this case can it or is it imminent that the same course of action is likely to be taking with David Norris, assuming that boundaries may have possibly been crossed in the use of the senate (state) letterhead and the abuse of his position as a Senator?

    Regarding the Irish Independent article referenced above, I see that it says " They first crossed paths in Dublin in December 1975, and soon began a relationship that would last for 10 years. "
    That would imply the relationship ended some time around say 1985/87 which is well before the incident. However in the Joe Jackson interview, it is said " True, but I’ve weathered it before and I’ll weather it again” he muses, which brings us to another great loss in Norris’ life – his former lover, Ezra. He and David broke up last January after 26 years ".

    That interview was in Feb 2002 so if the relationship lasted " 26 years" then that measn the relationship was ongoing since since around 1975. The articlwe does mention " David also felt “devastated” the first time he discovered Ezra was “inclined to stray” ten years into their relationship."

    So there seems to be confusion on this matter.

    I wouldn't let the Senate investigate a box of matches.
    They fckd up the Callelly thing managing to net the slimey toad about 20k in backpay and backdated expenses in th process!

    Numerous TDs and senators have done things like this before.

    Even Gay Mitchell has done something similar:
    Fine Gael's Spokesman on Foreign Affairs, Gay Mitchell, has written to the Governor of Florida in the US, asking him to take anti-abortionist Paul Hill off death row.

    I despise the Senate and every person who sits in it. To me it is a total affront to this democratic republic. I find it sickening and repulsive that Enda Kenny and others recently rewarded their propagandist foot soldiers by giving them a seat in that place. I also find it repulsive that people who were REJECTED by the electorate in February should now have their big fat arses resting in those comfortable Senate seats. We all saw the complete cock-up they made of the Callelly incident. I read last week that a former Senator who lost his seat last time is now spending time in a recording studio indulging his hubris at trying to record an album :rolleyes:, whilst living off his bloated pension despite the fact that he's still a relatively young man (he obviously won't be signing on anytime soon).

    If these Norris and Callelly incidents foreshorten the future life of the Senate, then it will be a job well done.

    Confusion yes but it is clear if Senator Norris was still with Ezra till 2002 there was also the 24 year old youth. Looking at the Joe Jackson interview if said youth was 24 in 2002 then he was 14 or 15 in 1992. Again I ask is the youth from 1992 and the later boyfriend the one and the same.

    I think that its at least bizarre that the talking upon ones self to construct a letter representing the state (letterhead) that the only one that will investigate the issue and take Norris to task is the media,

    Surely no one person should be in a position to make an official representation to another legal jurisdiction without seeking both legal advice and seeking the permission of the minister for forign affairs.

    Pure arrogance on Norris's part.
    I read recently that another well-known senator always calls himself Senator A.N. Other (I won't give his name) when booking airlines and hotel accommodation to the United States because he knows he'll be bumped up to first class flights and hotel rooms and treated like a VIP. Unfortunately the poor Americans are dumb enough to think that an Irish senator equates in rank and importance to a US senator. If only they knew the truth :rolleyes:

    It's not Gogarty. Actually when the ex-Senator posted on his Facebook page that he was in a recording studio laying down some tracks I replied by saying that he should do a duet with Gogarty as they were two (Green) peas in a pod, at which point he promptly dropped me as a friend :D.

    apples and oranges really. There's a difference between lobbying to get a convicted murderer's death sentence commuted to life imprisonment and lobbying to get a convicted statutory rapist a non-custodial sentence

    why he chose him? I do not know but I doubt its because he was anti-abortion. Perhaps there was a specific reason other than that.

    In the letter David Norris says that Ezra was led into a trap at the time of the arrest, not at the time the offence was committed and also was not afforded legal advice.

    David Norris and Ezra and Cathal O' Searcaigh have been very badly treated by the irish media.

    They have less rights than the rest of the country, They fought long and hard to be allowed by law to adopt children. And with great credit to these guys the community must stand by them and give full support.

    It is 2011 and its a disgrace that david, ezra and cathal cannot adopt kids, it is so anti gay, shame on fine gael.

    One has a conviction for statutory rape and the other made very questionable comments about relationships between men and boys. Sexuality aside, it would be a disgrace if they could adopt kids.
